A Christmas scavenger hunt played remotely from your phone

What is Luau Lights?

It's a Christmas light scavenger hunt played in teams. For just $25, you can register a team, which is anyone you can legally fit in your car. The night of the event you will receive a list of 60 items to photograph. Examples include a 6" reindeer, Santa at the manger, or a penguin inflatable.

When and where is this event?

It's an annual tradition, played the third Tuesday of December. This year it's Dec. 19th from 6:30 - 9:00 PM, CST. The great news is you can play from anywhere by downloading the app to your phone! Register now, and download the app later this month.

Why would I want to play?

First of all, it's REALLY fun. You can build unique memories while making a difference - all for less than a night at the movies! Secondly, there are prizes. Thirdly, this money subsidizes counseling, parenting classes, and summer camp for foster and adoptive families.

How does the app work?

The app is free to download. You register your team, and designate one person as the photographer. The night of Dec. 19th the list of photos to capture will automatically populate. Click on drop down menu to submit your pictures, and track other team's points on the dashboard.

Why the name Luau Lights?

Ohana is a Hawaiian word that encapsulates the idea that family can be by choice. Luau Lights is our organizational Christmas party. As a nod to our roots we want to see one Hawaiian themed item in every photo. So bring a lei, a pineapple, or a grass skirt!
